Tate County is a thriving, bustling, growing community located only 30 minutes south of Memphis, Tennessee. Senatobia is the county seat of Tate County and is located along Interstate 55. Senatobia’s population is about 7,000 people, while Tate County has about 28,000. As our community grows, so does our reputation as a great place to live!
Life in Tate County offers a unique pastoral setting that is minutes away from big city life in Metropolitan Memphis. Farmland and suburbs are neighbors in a friendly slow-paced quality of life. Some of the best hunting and fishing are available locally and Lake Arkabutla offers camping, a beach, and activities such as Sailing Regattas.
Senatobia, MS
Senatobia, is North Mississippi’s other college town. Home to Northwest Mississippi Community College, Senatobia offers a great quality of life, with unique shopping, great local restaurants, and an historic downtown that features Movies in the Park, Farmers Market, and festivals that make Senatobia and an exciting place to visit and an even better place to call home.
Coldwater, MS
Coldwater is the gateway to Tate County from the Memphis area, and is the gateway to Lake Arkabutla. Sitting along the banks of the Coldwater not far from the shores of Lake Arkabutla, Coldwater shows its small-time charm. With a population of around 1,700 people, you get the quiet life in a small town with only a 30 minute drive to Memphis, TN.
