Modern architecture is spotted within the historic buildings that line picturesque Main Street, while still maintaining the feel of years gone by. In the distance, 1875, Tate County Courthouse towers over the town and serves as a central point of the busy happenings of downtown life. Numerous parks throughout the city host families as they enjoy everything from small farmers markets to summer outdoor movie nights, concerts and even just a quiet lunch under a shade tree. And what better to surround such a beautiful downtown than some of the most gorgeous historic homes in Mississippi! You won’t find more peaceful and inviting front porches anywhere.
